This is my first time ever visiting a country outside of the United States. One thing about America is that you can always find something to eat and you can find it fast. So fast that home cooking is not an extreme norm. Well, at least not in my “norm”.

Had to reblog this from @daddyweeks413 because everyone & their mama knows my favorite color is orange lol. Now let me ruin the fun: orange (the fruit) came first. Then the color. I guess lol I read that orange (the color) comes from the fruit (kind of like violet & amber comes from the plant & the stone)

"What in the World!?" Wednesday

Traveling to different countries can present some very “head tilting” and “eye squinting” moments.

This “WITW” moment is that I’m always seeing a random shoe somewhere in the street! I’ll have to do some research to see if this has any meaning but…I’ve seen this in 3 different areas of Palermo!

I’m used to flying on planes, but only for a short amount of time. I’m used to 40 to 60 minute flights going back and forth from Georgia to Ohio to visit my loved ones. The flight from JFK to PMO (Palermo) was a steady 8 hour flight!

8 hours of sitting next to dozens of people who don’t know your language and vice versa.

It’s a scary thought at first, but then it turns into a seated adventure.…
